World Peace Festival and Concert International Advisory Council

 

 

 

Mr. Claes Nobel is Chairman of the World Peace Festival and Concert International Advisory Council, and is in the process of selecting additional Council members. Members already appointed include, Dr. Aldridge Vaillant, Ambassador Andrew Jackson Young, Jr., Dr. Philip Austin and Mohamed Sultan Al Mughairy.

 

 

Claes Nobel is a longtime champion of environmental stewardship and earth ethics. In 1974 Mr. Nobel founded United Earth Inc. and drafted The Nobel Laureates Declaration on the Survival of Mankind, signed by 78 Nobel Laureates advocating support for environmental protection and humanitarian leadership. Mr. Nobel has continued his family's legacy of recognizing and rewarding outstanding achievement by founding The National Society of High School Scholars. A native of Sweden and the senior member of the Nobel family, he is a passionate proponent of humanitarian and environmental causes, working tirelessly for decades to help save the planet and its people.

 

 

Dr. Aldridge VaillantDr. Aldridge Vaillant is a Trustee of Earth Ethics Foundation and a Professor of Educational Leadership at Connecticut State University, where he has held both administrative and faculty positions. Dr. Vaillant established the Department of Curriculum, Research and Supervision which later became the Department of Educational Leadership. Dr. Vaillant served as its first chairman, later serving as the Division Director of the Division of Professional Education. Dr. Vaillant started the training school for ZADCO, one of the major oil companies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Vaillant has authored, along with Dr. Suad Vaillant, Evaluating Research in Education and the Behavioral Sciences, a textbook on educational research.

 

 

Ambassador Andrew Jackson Young, Jr. is Chairman of the Andrew Young Foundation. Chairman of the Leon H. Sullivan Foundation and Chairman and a Founding Partner of GoodWorks International, LLC.  Ambassador Young is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including The Presidential Medal of Freedom, The French Legion d' Honneur and over 58 honorary degrees from universities including Yale University, Notre Dame University, Wake Forest University, Emory University and the University of Georgia.

 

 

Dr. Philip Austin is President Emeritus of theUniversity of Connecticut. U.S. News and World Report has consistently ranked the University of Connecticut as the top public university in New England. Prior to his appointment at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Austin served as Chancellor of the University of Alabama. Dr. Austin is the former President of the New England Associationof Schools and Colleges and Chairman of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

 

 

Mohamed Sultan Al Mughairy is Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDC Films, Inc., Managing Member of World Peace Festival and Concert, LLC and a Member of United Earth Foundation's International Advisory Council. Mr. Al Mughairy is  Special Advisor to the Middle East for the NIR Group,LLC, a New York-based, $8 billion hedge fund and Chairman of the Nobel Green Fund. Mr. Al Mughairy's business career has spanned more than four decades.
